| A friend asked me, "What do you teach your meditation group?" I said, "We follow the Christ path and help students to transmute their personality so they can learn to love one another." My friend said, "My mother talked about that. It's old stuff. Don't you teach about astral travel? How to raise the kundalini? I would like to learn about being initiated." I said, "All this information will not help you take one step toward the temple gate. The essence of all teaching is to have compassion. You may do all kinds of breathing exercises and concentration. It will not help you on the spiritual path if you are not able to love one another. You may have a magical word, but the temple gate will not open if it is spoken without compassion." |
