A Meditation

Your Experience

Many times you will find yourself in a situation that you do not like, feeling intensely that you should be doing something else. The place you are in and the work you are doing with distaste is not accidental. There is a plan and you attract to yourself the condition you need for spiritual growth, not the condition you think you should have. As a result, the usual reaction is resentment toward the work and the people involved. Such a state ties you down to the very thing you are anxious to change. Conditions will not change unless your state of mind changes because all experience and environment is the result of what you are. The open door is gratitude: gratitude for what you are doing, gratitude for every little thing, gratitude for the job you do not like, gratitude for the process, gratitude for having a roof over your head. Gratitude has the power to break down the wall and open the door.

Mantra:
I am grateful for the spirit's presence, who guides me every hour.
